Our primary texts are Tafseer Ibn Katheer and Tafseer Al-Jalalayn. For beginners we also use Ma’ariful Quran. Teachers reference additional works as needed.

Do I need to know Arabic to study Tafseer?

No — beginners can study Tafseer in English or Urdu. Arabic knowledge enhances the experience but is not required. We can incorporate Arabic as your studies progress.

How long does a complete Quran Tafseer take?

A complete Tafseer of the full Quran typically takes 2–4 years at one class per week. Many students start with Juz Amma which takes 3–6 months.

Can I study Tafseer alongside Quran recitation classes?

Yes — we recommend it. Combining Tajweed recitation with Tafseer study gives you both correct pronunciation and deep understanding simultaneously.
