Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before enrolling

My child speaks Urdu at home but can’t read it — can you help?
Yes — this is our most common enrolment. Heritage speakers who speak Urdu fluently but cannot read Nastaliq script progress very quickly with our reading-focused classes.
How long does it take to learn to read Urdu?
Most students learn to read basic Urdu within 2–4 months. Fluent paragraph reading typically takes 6–8 months of regular practice.
Is Urdu similar to Hindi?
Urdu and Hindi share the same spoken grammar but use different scripts. Urdu uses the Nastaliq script (right to left) and draws heavily from Arabic and Persian vocabulary.
Can I learn Urdu alongside Islamic studies?
Yes — we can combine Urdu language classes with Islamic Studies, allowing you to read Urdu Islamic books as your reading improves.
Do you teach Urdu to non-Pakistani/Indian students?
Absolutely. We welcome students of any background interested in Urdu — whether for cultural, academic, or professional reasons.
