Arabic Alphabet — Letters and Their Sounds

All 29 Arabic letters in their isolated forms, with correct makhraj (articulation points) taught from the beginning. You learn how each letter sounds differently from English, avoiding common mispronunciation mistakes.

Letters in All Three Forms (Beginning, Middle, End)

Arabic letters change shape based on their position in a word. You learn to recognise and read letters in all three positions — a crucial skill for reading actual Quranic text smoothly.

Harakat — Fatha, Kasra, Dhamma (Short Vowels)

The three short vowel marks that change the sound of every letter. Mastering harakat is what allows you to read Quranic text with proper pronunciation without relying on transliteration.

Double vowels (tanwin), the no-vowel mark (sukoon), and the doubling mark (shadda) — all explained clearly with practical reading exercises so you can apply them immediately.

What is the difference between Noorani Qaida and Baghdadi Qaida? +
Both are foundational Arabic reading programs. Noorani Qaida, compiled by Sheikh Noor Muhammad Haqqani, is more structured and progressive — it integrates Tajweed awareness from the beginning and is widely considered more effective for producing correct pronunciation from the start. Baghdadi Qaida is older and is used in some South Asian Maktab traditions. We use Noorani Qaida because it prepares students for proper Quranic Tajweed from their very first lesson.
